What Kind of Image Do You Need to Portray?
During the last seven months, I’ve been focusing a great deal of time with offline networking. After four years behind a computer, I figured it was time to get my hinny out into the community and start meeting local business professionals.
Although I consider myself to be a fairly good networker, I’ve continued to study networking etiquette, philosphies, etc. and continue to improve my person-to-person communications. I’ve made great connections and formed amazing relationships that have grown into close personal friendships.
Yesterday, as I was reviewing my face-to-face networking strategies, I realized I have never given serious attention to the way others might refer to me.
For example, when I’m not in a room and my name comes up, I’d like to trust that words like “professional, dependable, smart, knowledgeable, giving” and “go-getter” come up as well.
Hopefully my actions are producing those types of reactions, however, I had never really considered what my physical appearance might bring up. I don’t know if I’m being viewed as too young (although I’m 42, I’m often mistaken as much younger), not to be taken seriously (I’m 5′1″ and female — a blonde one to boot), and I wear my hair long and wear very little make-up (which makes me appear younger than I am).
As I considered my target market of professionals (many of whom are male bankers, agents etc.), I began to wonder if I should look older, project a more serious image and “power-up” a little.
When my Mastermind group reconvenes in September, this will be my next matter of attention.
Working from behind a computer gives you plenty of freedom to simply be and look as comfortable as you wish, even though it might not be the ideal image your target market expects.

How to Increase Your Manifestation Muscle in Every Day Life
Yesterday while blueberry picking, I lost my cell phone.
Normally, I’m a pretty bright gal, and I dont know if I was simply lazy or tuned out, but put the phone in a pant side-pocket that didn’t close properly AND I didn’t turn my cell phone on.
It wasn’t until hubby and I were heading out to enjoy a relaxing Sunday night dinner that I realized I didn’t have it. We cancelled our dinner plans and headed back into the bush to begin our search.
Because we had spent an hour and a half visiting blueberry patch after blueberry patch, we knew the phone could be anywhere. We couldn’t call the phone and listen for a ring because it wasn’t on.
After 45 minutes and the sun beginning to set, we decided to return home.
I wasn’t bothered by the separation. Somehow I KNEW my phone would return to me because I trust in the Law of Attraction.
Before going to bed, I envisioned returning to the woods and finding my phone. I pictured it in my hand. I also pictured the faces of all the wonderful people whose numbers are stored in my phone. I was connected to them and would be reunited with them through my phone.
During the night I dreamed about my phone. Although it had been lost, it was in my hand and I was grateful for having it.
This morning when hubby and I awoke, we discovered the forecast had changed from sunshine to rain. We decided to return to the bush first thing and adjusted our morning plans.
Again, I KNEW we would find my phone. It was waiting for us.
Not five minutes into the woods did we find it sitting safe and sound on a mound of soft green moss. Even though we checked the same area last night without success, it was in plain sight for us this morning. By 8:15 a.m. I was back home, in my office, no time lost from my work day.
What’s the moral of this story?
When you BELIEVE something, it will become reality. Sometimes we get caught up focusing on what we consider to be BIG desires and get frustrated when they don’t manifest as quickly as we’d hope. We start to wonder whether or not the Law of Attraction will ever work for us.
If you find yourself facing such a challenge, start small. Set an intention to manifest what you would consider to be a smaller desire. This simple practice has helped me increase my belief in the Law and confidence in manifesting everything I set my heart on.
It’s through daily practice we develop skills and increase awareness.
As you begin your week, set an intention. BELIEVE with every fibre of your being it will be yours. Envision having it, smelling it, touching it, the feelings it brings to your heart. Feel gratitude for having it, a love for it being in your life.
This is how you will develop your manifestation muscle.

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.
“That’s my son over there,” she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.
“He’s a fine looking boy” the man said. “That’s my daughter on the bike in the white dress.”
Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. “What do you say we go, Melissa?”
Melissa pleaded, “Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.”
The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart’s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. “Time to go now?”
Again Melissa pleaded, “Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes.”
The man smiled and said, “OK.”
“My, you certainly are a patient father,” the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, “Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I’d give anything for just five more minutes with him. I’ve vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa.
She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play.”

A Slow Economy A GOOD Thing?

A few weeks ago, my good friend Dr. David Trybus, of the Alternative Health Care Center in Springfield, Missouri, recommended, “The Four Agreements” as one of the best books he had ever read.
I picked up his book that very same day and had to agree, it is one of the best books I have ever read on the subject of living a life of purpose, integrity and joy.
